With approximately 35 highly qualified employees, we combine technical excellence, industry diversity, and personal customer service under one roof.

Our location southeast of Munich is now a center of excellence for high-quality model and mold making in Germany.

The name Schröter stands for prototyping at its finest – a tradition spanning over 60 years. We specialize in design models, composite components, prototypes, molds, and fixtures – especially for customers with the highest demands on function, surface finish, material, and confidentiality.

Our basic philosophy is: everything from one source

From the initial consultation through development and design to CNC manufacturing and the final high-end finish, every step is carried out in-house.

Our employees work independently from the initial consultation to the handover to the customer – with technical expertise, passion, and a clear focus on your goals.

Thanks to continuous investments in technology and personnel, we consistently rely on high-tech – from state-of-the-art 5-axis CNC milling technology and CAD/CAM systems to rapid prototyping and digital quality assurance. And all of this is climate-friendly: Our production runs 100% on green electricity.

CONSTRUCTION

With CATIA and Tebis, our designers work with state-of-the-art technology. Existing data is carefully prepared and optimized. In-house data processing via our fiber optic network enables direct and secure transfer to machines and test stations.

Our TISAX certification guarantees you the highest security standards – ideal for secret body models and highly sensitive projects in racing or aerospace development.

We are researching the
Future of model making

As part of the BMBF funding project ‘Crafts 4.0: digital and innovative’ (2022 – 2025), we are conducting research in an interdisciplinary network on application solutions for the use of robotics in individual craft production.
The focus is on grinding and finishing components.

Zimmermann's new FZP32 went into operation in May. This state-of-the-art 5-axis gantry milling machine from the FZP line, featuring a thermosymmetric gantry, is used for machining aluminum, fiber-reinforced composites, plastics, and urea. It complements our state-of-the-art milling center with travels of 7000 x 3500 x 2500 mm, a feed rate of 60,000 mm/min, and a speed of 180°/s, along with its thermosymmetric gantry.
